Frontpage Mag is running an interesting series on some of our more toxic mayors: for example, Jackson, Mississippi's Chokwe Antar Lumumba (no, really) and Philadelphia's Jim Kenney.

I question whether any of these politicians truly believe in woke propaganda (except for the bred-in-the-bone true racists like Lumumba). I think most of them just jump on the bandwagon for political purposes. Principles, what are those?
There's toxic and then there's stupid.

Chicago should follow Portland's lead, and start a tourism campaign promoting the South Side of Chicago.
"Are you an old white couple looking for that one last thrilling vacation? Then the South Side is the place for you! Walk the streets alone late at night, to experience all the South Side has to offer. We're sure your perfect vacation will end with a bang! Or two!"
Rebecca: I think you're right. It's similar to something Solzhenitsyn said, probably 15 or 20 years before the fall of the Soviet Union. He opined that there was probably not a single person in the Communist Party who actually believed in Marxism; it was just the currency of power.
Jeff: that's the dumbest thing I've seen this week (but the week is still young!)
R-man: No worrying about round-trip tickets!
