  1. I always thought cigarettes were cancer sticks. That's what my sister told us when she came home from nursing school. So my parents both stopped smoking.
By the time she graduated, my sister had started smoking.

    1. Dad smoked 4 packs a day his entire life, until he had a heart attack at age 64 or so.

Me, I never smoked. Imagine that.

  2. Smoking's bad for you, no doubt, and I gave up tobacco almost seven years ago, but the truth is, I don't think I'd have given up a single cigar or cigarette that I ever smoked if I had it to do over again. I loved the stuff, and it got me through many tense and worrisome situations.

  3. File that under "ads we couldn't do today."

But to me the worst one had the tagline "My wife - I think I'll keep her!" which even in the day made me cringe.
