On top of the mass shootings, there's a breaking news report out of California: "Rob Reiner & Michele Singer Reiner Allegedly Stabbed by Son Nick".
I would not wish such a death on anybody: to be killed by one's own child. And here's a bizarre twist:
Nick has long spoken about a battle with substance abuse, and — in spite of his family's wealth — periods of being unhoused.
Nick co-wrote with Matt Elisofon the semi-autobiographical 2015 film "Being Charlie," which his dad directed. He told People at the time, “Now, I’ve been home for a really long time, and I’ve sort of gotten acclimated back to being in L.A. and being around my family."
Anybody out there in Hollywood still want to criticize Trump's war on Venezuelan drug smugglers? (And yes, I know the sad answer to that question).
I've never been much of a fan of Reiner, even less so since I've seen his support of stupid leftist issues, but still, what a sad way to go if it was his son.
ReplyDeleteI've always thought stabbing someone to death has to be one of the most personally gut-wrenching ways to attack someone, and to be attacked. So up close and personal compared to shooting with a gun.
I don't know that I've ever seen any of his movies, and his politics were garbage (one of the worst cases of TDS I've seen); but the family's troubles must have been pretty awful to lead to this tragic end, so, God rest their souls.

DeleteIndeed, this was a gruesome and sad way to go. R-man is right about killing with a knife being intensely personal; the killer is either a stone cold professional, or a psychopath.
ReplyDeleteAnd, frankly, one has to wonder about the family life while the son was growing up. I hope the sister gets through this trauma.
Finally ... ... not only will Hollywood continue to support the drug runners, but I fully expect some of them to find some bizarre to blame Trump for this.
Bet it was da Joooos. Mossad panicked because all the very smart people online blew the whistle on the false flag Bondi Beach mass murder. So they did this in a rush as a distraction.

I do feel sorry for all the kids of Hollywood folks, they're just screwed up. Always have been. Mommy Dearest after all, and Sonny and Cher's kid for instance.
Hollywood just destroys children.
I believe it takes a very strong, secure personality to live in Hollywood and not give in to corruption.
