"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
I'm thinking the one big factor in our favor is that the current crop of communists in the US are not made of the same stern stuff that a lot of the communists from the past were made of.
I wonder how they would react if they were to get some real extralegal pushback.
I hope not too. I have a fair amount of food, both frozen and canned, some water, which is not in short supply in Kentucky, but I got a dual fuel generator, Generac, but won't get the giant propane tanks until the 17th. C'mon America, give me 3 more weeks! I wish that was more than 50% tongue in cheek.
I wanted a 500lb one but couldn't get that or 250, so I got two 120lbs. Each one should last 3 days or so, so a week. I'll turn it off and on so it should last longer. I have a kerosene heater for emergencies, so it's mostly for the fridge, internet and recharching stuff. My patch of nothing in my holler is my bug-out bag. I want it to be as stocked as possible.
V, around here, it's probably easier to find a 500 gallon tank, than one of the smaller ones. I have a dual-fuel generator, and a 500 gallon LP tank for my furnace, but I don't currently have a hook-up for the generator, on the tank. I need to check into that.
You cannot get 500lb for a portable generator. I forget why they wouldn't sell me the 500 for my propane heater. The two I'm getting are for my propane heater. Totally not for my generator.

I have a feeling that we're going to find out some day.

How big are your propane tanks going to be?
DeleteDitto, v-man. Ditto.

I installed a backup generator as well, Veeshir, only it's connected to my natural gas meter.
DeleteSo long as the spice, er, gas, flows, I have power.

I voted in Kentucky, I'm just worried I voted Dem in AZ, OH and VA.
ReplyDeleteI've been getting calls and texts from those three but not KY.
Holy moly!
ReplyDeleteFor the first time since Al D'Amato in the 80s, the senator I voted for won the election!
You may find some encouragement here.

And, don't forget, 97% for Hillary in 2016!
