It's only because of cronyism and a hefty savings account (from skimming all the donations over the years) that keeps Farrakhan rolling.

When he drops dead, it'll be like when Washington died -- I was in Chicago for THAT as well. A massive feeding frenzy ensued, one notch below a local civil war. N of I won't be quite as spectacular, given their size, but the group will likely splinter after Farrakhan croaks.

Good riddance to bad rubbish, says I.JeffSnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6935370618605188900.post-78993522067726049652013-04-23T09:37:49.923-04:002013-04-23T09:37:49.923-04:00I have a feeling that when Louis finally kicks off...I have a feeling that when Louis finally kicks off, Mustapha hasn't got the mojo to keep the empire together.RebeccaHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15113907852048577121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6935370618605188900.post-81297120596218728102013-04-22T23:29:08.623-04:002013-04-22T23:29:08.623-04:00Shocked? In addition, each alderman had two permanent police "liaisons" assigned to them.

At one point, back then, Mayor Washington had to attend some trial in the Federal court building. Federal security wouldn't let his security detail in; in order to get Washington into the courtroom (his attendance was essential, for some reason), the Federal Protective Service had to pony up two bodyguards for the duration.

This was 25 years ago. When Chicago wasn't so openly dysfunctional. Today? You couldn't pay me enough to work or live in Chicago.

This doesn't surprise me, except that it's very much in the open. Farrakhan always had close ties with Cook County and Chicago officials, even when he was openly collaborating with Qaadafi.

Chicago -- the center of corruption in America. Even Washington DC pales in comparison.JeffSnoreply@blogger.com
