You shouldn't be able to carry guns, but it's ok for the police

Because they always know what they're doing (H/T: Daily Caller).

WTF. Let's see, is there any other option he could have done instead of shooting him? Take the license plate down called for an APB. Follow/observe him.

We tend to give cops slack because it is a hard job with hard decisions and sometimes decisions need to be made with no good choices, but if they abuse that slack they need go be smacked hard. Unless there is a lot more to the story that cop should end up in prison.

Speaking of guns, remember the young mother whose husband died of cancer on Christmas and a week later she shot & killed a guy breaking in to her home? Her shotgun was taken as evidence after the accomplice who ran off was arrested and charged with murder (death while in commission of a felony)and then he was released on bond.

So the Champaign County Rifle Association in Illinois took up a collection and got her a new shotgun. Nice.

Nice follow up on Sarah, Colonel!

As for the police......I hate to say it, but I no longer place my faith in law enforcement, and haven't for quite a while. They are a factor to consider in any response that I make, nothing more.

That's not to say the county sheriff and city police here are bad. But it's the safe way to bet across the country, until they prove otherwise, as the police in Champaign County demonstrate.
