If the Left can't undercut the 2nd Amendment through the legislative process...

...it will attack from another direction, trying to "shame" companies into doing things like Walmart has just done.
On Tuesday, Walmart announced that after its current inventory is depleted, it will cave to the demands of far-left activists and stop selling handgun ammunition and ammunition commonly used in other popular semi-automatic firearms.
I occasionally bought ammo at Walmart (typically 9mm and .40 caliber) to use for target shooting, so this decision is a bit of a nuisance. The real blow will come if (when) companies stop or are barred from selling ammo online. Looks like it may be time to stock up again.

Update: Here's a funny take on "buybacks".

Yeah, I've been buying most of my 22 bulk ammo & 9mm target ammo at the local Wally. I was there yesterday, after hearing this news, and bought a couple boxes of 9mm. I'm running out of local sources for ammo. The new Dimocrat governor of Illinois is doing his best to drive the small local gun shops out of business with new burdensome regulations, and has succeeded with the one nearest to me. An older couple owned it, and they just decided it wasn't worth it, and closed down about a month ago. The closest places to buy ammo now will be at least 25 miles away. A lot of online sellers won't ship to the Democratic People's Republic of Illinois.

The law of supply and demand will ensure that someone will step into the breech.

Sportsman's Guide is now offering free shipping on ammo (for members on purchases exceeding $49; membership is, I believe, $49.99 annually. Could be cost effective, depending on how much and how frequently one orders).
