I didn't know the group was still together

Oh, wait. You mean that kind of rare earth: "Trump signs $8.5 billion rare earths deal with Australia".

Here's another look at Trump's meeting with the Australian PM via Gregory at The mind is an unexplored country.

  1. Rudd is indeed a poncy git -- Gregory nails it there.

And it's a poor reflection on Australian politics that Rudd has any position in their government, let alone Ambassador to the US.

    1. Jeff, Rudd's in Washington mainly because nobody in Canberra - especially in his own party - wants him on this side of the Pacific.
Shortly after he lost to Tony Abbott in 2013 he was invited to join the Chatham House group in London. They're probably as grateful as our Labor MPs that he's been kept busy in DC.
Thanks again for the link, Paco.

    2. I see, Gregory. Thank you.

Maybe Australia should establish a scientific outpost in Antarctica? To count penguins, mayhaps?

    3. I can see the penguins being offered a deal. Something along the lines of 'Make it look like an accident'.

  2. Oooooh, China's gonna be pissed.

So many people who whine about what Trump says, ignore what he does.
