DeleteI read about that, I think by Stephen Green? Anyway, the point was that they haven’t actually brought dire wolves back, because they’ve been extinct for 10,000 years. What they’ve done is monkey around with the genome and created regular wolves with dire wolf attributes.

DeleteI'm not in favor of bringing back extinct carnivores; I'm ok with herbivores, but the large herbivores could probably decimate crops and whole ecosystems; it's the result of watching too many Jurassic and Terminator movies, but count me out.
