And now, a word from our sponsor

  1. At the end, I think those are the small boxes where you could open the sides and just pour milk in.
I liked those, I wonder if someone still makes them.

    1. I don't think so; all I've ever seen in the past decade or so are single serve packages, where the "package" is a plastic bowl.

A pity ... ... those small boxes were rather fun.

  2. I used to get Ma Paco to buy those little boxes occasionally when she took me to the grocery store. I liked the fact that you'd get a variety of cereal products; however, I don't know that I ever saw anything with Marshal Dillion's picture on it.

  3. Yeesh. Even as a kid I never liked sweetened cereals. Frosted Flakes, Sugar Pops, Cocoa Krispies, and worst of all was Captain Crunch. After a bowl of Crunch you'd not only have a sickeningly sweet aftertaste for the morning, but the skin on your palette would be shredded.

I liked the "boring" cereals, like Grape Nuts or Wheat Chex.

    1. I have to admit that I always liked Frosted Flakes when I was a kid, but Ma Paco rarely bought them. Captain Crunch I disliked for the reasons you stated. When I got older, I became a huge fan of Rice Chex, and even ate them dry out of the box. Nowadays, I don't eat cereals at all.
