"Eric Swalwell's Political Future is Collapsing Fast".
The San Francisco Chronicle reported that a former congressional aide accused Swalwell of two non-consensual sexual encounters, including one where she claims she woke up in his hotel room after becoming intoxicated. CNN then dropped its own bombshell, reporting that four women total allege sexual misconduct by Swalwell — one of whom accuses him outright of rape. “I was pushing him off of me, saying no,” the woman said.
Couldn't happen to a more deserving scum-bag.
Update And the rats are doing swan dives off the weather deck of this sinking ship: "Democrats Schiff, Pelosi Turn on Swalwell, Withdraw Endorsements, Call on Him to Drop Out of California Governor’s Race Amid Sexual Assault Allegations".
I believe Swalwell pissed off a Democratic big cheese, because they dumped him tout suite. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have cared.
ReplyDeleteEven without these allegations, I'm just amazed that this trash person was a serious contender for governor - even of California.
DeleteShartwell is in between the two leading Republicans. If these allegations drive him out then it's possible that both candidates in the election will be Rs. I don't think it likely, I firmly believe that the state Dems would pull shenanigans to knock one of them out and slide in a Dem, who will then win.
ReplyDeleteBut dumping Erk might look like the quickest and cleanest option, and then see how to push whoever is currently fourth into the second spot, and then to win. Maybe the execrable Katie Porter will be the next Governor.
I've read that Swallwell is being tossed under the bus to make room for a, ahem, more diverse candidate.
DeleteThe names I've heard are Xavier Becerra and that lunatic, Katie Porter. That's why the debate for the gubernatorial candidates was cancelled ... no "Persons of Color" were on the stage.
What I have NOT heard from the donks are calls for him to resign from Congress.
ReplyDeleteHim dropping out of the governor race for sexual "misconduct", good for the donks.
Him staying in Congress in spite of being accused of sexual "misconduct", also good for the donks.
You can't make this stuff up.
Note: I used danger quotes around "misconduct" because while Swallwel is a sleazy pig who dips his wick everywhere he can: (1) so far, we have only the word of the women that this happened non-consensually; and (2) if true, "misconduct" may be too mild a word for the sheer scale and hypocrisy displayed by Swallwell, regardless if what happened was consensual or not.
Plus, he's a donk, a criminal by definition.
He's a "male feminist." Therefore by definition he's a predator.
