"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
Nice to see Kentucky low on the inbound side.
ReplyDeleteToo many folks moving will try to recreate what they left. See, NH, CO, AZ. NC is having problems with that problem too I think.
I think the map is out of date though, change AZ to +7.0 and KY to +7.1, since I know someone who left one for the other.
The northern migration to NC has been going on for most of my life, but has accelerated in the last couple of decades, due to all the jobs associated with the Research Triangle, the big banks, retirees, etc, etc. Unfortunately, a lot of these people have brought their "progressive" attitudes with them. Not nearly as bad as Colorado or Oregon, but slowly trending that way in some respects.
DeleteBtw, maybe I'll move to Kentucky, myself. It would be nice to buy a place big enough to have my own shooting range. I like the one I belong to here, but it's a drag to pack up stuff, do the 12-15 minute drive there, and then discover - as happened today - that I had left my gun at home.
You left home without it?
DeleteKarl Malden would be appalled.
Hey, look at that! Illinois is a red state. :-)
ReplyDeletelooks like the whole color scale thing needs reversed
