"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
There was a place in the main drag out of the town where I went to high school where you didn’t want to be when it rained. Every couple of years, somebody would try to get across and get washed into the gulley.
In the same way mobile home parks attract tornadoes, flash floods seem to attract dare-devil drivers. When we lived in Arizona, we'd see local news stories all the time about people who tried to drive across a street awash in turbulent water, and the firemen would have to go out there and get them out of their vehicles, at great (and unnecessary) risk to themselves.
Was the cameraman filming from an angle, or were those highly mobile autos being pushed along by the floodwaters and wind? I'm hoping for the first option. Weather that can move cars like they were Matchbox toys is nowhere on my bucket list.
Wow. That looks closer to mud than water. That was tossing those cars like nothing. There's a lot more mass in mud and it's more cohesive so it won't go around stuff as easily.
That no one died is a major miracle. Kudos to the first responders as well!

The water (or muck) was carrying the vehicles along. Nasty business.
