Hillary Prepared to Strike Her Colors?

Here's some advice, though, Senator Obama: be careful when she tenders her sword.

  1. And cover your eyes, Barry. She's not through gouging yet.

  2. I find it hard to believe that she would stop now. I wonder if she'll avoid conceding, but stop campaigning?

She grew those long fingernails for a reason, y'know!

  4. Hillary won't stop before the convention, maybe not before the November election.

  5. I'm led by my American friends on this subject, but if Hilary(ious) gains VP selection then that will be the end of Obama as a Presidential candidate.

  6. The really interesting thing is going to be, what if Obama selects Hillary for VP and they win? What are they going to do about Bill? Are we going to be living under some kind of triumvirate? Under three would-be presidents (one de jure, and two de facto)? Will two of them ultimately have to be strangled with a bowstring?

  7. Bite your fingers, Paco! The very thought of Obama/Clinton/Clinton makes my blood run cold.

  8. I can't really believe she'll go out either. She may know she's beaten but I'd say she wants to milk the historical moment by battling on right to the end. As for the Veep spot, I just can't believe Obama would allow the press allure of the Clintons reborn to interfere with his Aura of Greatness if he's elected. As he seems to struggle with the working class, white male demographic, I've been seriously wondering if Obama won't call up John Edwards - faux friend of the Jacksonians. Possible? Or would that look too boy band-ish?

And I still like Condi for GOP Veep!

  9. i agree c.l. i cannot see the ego of obama allowing the clintons to overshadow his aura. nor can i see shrillary being the quiet vp this country has come to expect.

  10. I think a Obama/Clinton/Clinton ticket is a sure thing.

It's the Dems only chance in November, and Billary's only shot at a return to the old White House neighborhood. If the Big O goes two terms, she will be an old, bitter hag, and unelectable; so she'll take what she can get now.

  11. Obama/Clinton/Clinton? Naw!

Try Obama/Clinton/Clinton/Clinton. Don't forget Chelsea, who as "the ass of life"! She'll be prepping for her own political career, and needs all the media coverage she can get.

    Gag!

C.L., I agree. Hillary is down, but not out. The superdelegates are the key. Should Obama really mess up between now and August, Hillary will swoop down like a hawk diving for his lunch.

  12. Well, this is a fine mess. A violent storm knocked out power at the secret Paco command post in Occupied Northern Virginia. I can't log onto my blog from work because I forgot my P/W (I don't really want to post from here, anyway). Blogging will probably be non-existent until late Friday or Saturday.

  13. Thanks for the heads up, Paco. Crittenden has called it quits, and I was beginning to worry ALL my favorite blogs were going south.

  14. Rebecca: I ain't exactly sure I followed all that "analog" business Jules was talkin' about, and if blogs are part of a "great nothingness", then I'm right where I oughta be, but I do get the bit about him checkin' out. Sorry to see him go, but I reckon he'll be back. Maybe's he going to write a book or something.

  15. I would suggest that Jules is off on a summer break, rather than closing down for good.

  17. I do believe, Hillary's Colors, just struck back.

Call me crazy (and many do, you'd just be added to the list, hovering around 2314 and one half) BUT should it happen A Hussein/Clinton ticket, IF McCain picked Lieberman as his mate, could be disaster waiting to be defeated.

My biggest concern is Hussein convincing Colin Powell, to be his mate.
