Paco. As much as I love you, you WILL NOT shoot goldfinches. Or the purple finches either. These happen to be among my favorite birds (although I could do without the little bastards shitting thistle seeds all over the place).
Rebecca: I am trying to reach a reasonable accomodation with the little fellows. They are beautiful birds, but they insist on tearing the petals off our gerberas. We've started to sprinkle a little red pepper on the flowers, and that seems to be working.
But we can agree that snails and slugs are absolutely fair game, I hope.
