Assortment

1) Barack Obama: red diaper godson?

2) The Republican resistance movement continues.

3) Road rage? Why, yes, I know exactly what you're talking about...

4) Alexander Solzhenitsyn has died. A great writer and an inspiration to generations of anti-communists.

Update: The career of another high-level terrorist takes the down-escalator.

Update II: The only use David Gergen has ever been to anybody was to inspire Andrew Ferguson to call him "a goggle-eyed melon head".

  1. Well, Gergen IS a goggle-eyed mellon head.

This business of Obama playing the race card in advance ('they will try to tell you yadda yadda') is really bugging me, especially when he tars McCain with that brush. McCain has behaved in a way that brings to mind Martin Luther King's words about the 'content of his character, not the color of his skin' and he has done so long before this campaign started. For Obama to claim to be post-racial and not acknowledge this says something about his own character. Obama has quite an opportunity between now and November to highlight the positive and appears to be throwing it away.

  2. I think I'll watch the evening news tonight, for the first time in... well, months anyway... to see if any mention is made of the Republican camp-out in the Capitol. I like to watch the talking heads squirm, and I am sooo hoping I get see Pelosi in a similar situation when she gives her press conference trying to explain it all away.

  3. I'd say he was being unkind to melon-heads in general.
