I guess helping your husband run for president really causes you to work up a big appetite.
I wonder what Joe the Plumber had for dinner tonight?

"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh

ReplyDelete``The low-hanging fruit, i.e. idiots whose parents paid for prep school, Yale and then the Harvard MBA, was there for the taking. These people who were (often) truly not worthy of the education they received (or supposedly received) rose to the top of companies such as AIG, Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers and all levels of our government.
``All of this behavior supporting the Aristocracy, only ended up making it easier for me to find people stupid enough to take the other sides of my trades. God Bless America.''

2 Americas.
Oy. If that's a snack, I'd hate to see the bill for a full course meal.
ReplyDeleteOh, so Black people aren't allowed to eat lobster? Raaaaacist!!!eleven!!!
ReplyDeleteBy some twisted logic my wife deduces that the Obamas are so far down the wealthy road that they are now part of the system. I disagree. This behaviour is also that of those who see themselves as above the common people, destined for greatness, destined to rule. That rule may not be pleasant for many who trusted our institutions to do the right thing.
ReplyDeleteno arugula?
ReplyDeleteHunh. The people that I know that earned their wealth don't waste it like that.
ReplyDeleteThat is the behavior of people spending somebody else's money.
Swampy, spot on. That meal would be charged to the campaign. All those little hard working lefties that contributed $20 from their take home pay have gone to providing Michelle with a better class of trough to feed from.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how they'll feel about that?
Two points:
ReplyDelete1) Apart from the lobster, that I find just too much work for the nutritional value, this looks like a good "snack". Prices were steep, though. Much lower in Halifax (except for teh Champaign). If you can afford it, then why not buy it.
2) This is supposed to be party that cares for the "average Jo (as long as they are not plumbers)".
Well, they reveal their champaign socialism right here.
Caviar for us, but not for you working stiffs. We know what is best for you.
I heard this 'snack' listed on the radio just before my weekend away from all interference. My thoughts ran the same way as blogstrop's wife.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I've tried all these delicacies & wouldn't do so again for ANY price. Nothing smacks more of 'elitism' than the public consumption of caviar. It's not 'educated' or 'discerning,' it's pompous, egotistical & prideful.
In my family, caviar = fish eggs = bait...to catch a REAL meal. Any that's left over either feeds the cats or goes in the garden as fertilizer.
Is there proof that the receipt was real?
ReplyDeleteAnonymous: All I know is that the original appeared, I believe, in the New York Post and was making the rounds of the blogs. I've heard of no denial from the Obama camp, but to be fair, even if it were a hoax, they would probably not find it important enough to bother with.
