How About a Giant Statue of Obama Riding a Unicorn (And Slaying the Dragon of Non-Hopey-Ness)?

The WSJ asks, “Why wait?” Let’s go ahead and start planning a monument to Obama now.

Money quote: “The most capable nuclear attack submarine in the U.S. fleet bears the name of our 39th president. Fittingly, the USS Jimmy Carter's first commanding officer was relieved of duty on account of ‘loss of confidence’ in his abilities

  1. I just saw a commercial for a set of four commemorative gold coins with Obama's likeness on them: one of the coins shows him half-superimposed over George Washington and the other over FDR. Another coin shows him next to the Statue of Liberty, and I forget the fourth image. Everything about the burgeoning Cult of Obama appalls me.

  2. I keep waiting to see some kind of commemorative coin (or plate) showing him in bag wig and knee breeches, standing in the forefront of the Founding Fathers at the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

  3. I don't care how fancy a plate he gets, he ain't replacing Leonard Nimoy on the mantelpiece!

  4. Er, no, Richard, no. None of us expects anybody to go that far.

  5. But I think an Obama statue, hell, a series of them nationwide, is a good idea.

after all, you can only shoot so many holes in a highway sign before it becomes basically unreadable...
