A Tea-Party Roundup...

...from American Power.

  1. Code Pink is reported to be "infiltrating" the Santa Monica Tea Party. We'll see how well that works.

In related news, I got an email from Michael Steele urging everyone to send a tea bag to Washington...two days ago.

At this rate, the RNC will be on board with the Tax Day tea parties by mid-August or so...

And Newt Gingrich is mulling a presidential run.I think we'll call the Party documentary at the next convention "Backing Into the Future"...

  2. You know, elephants can move pretty fast when they want to. If the GOP doesn't wise up and get with the program, they'll find themselves lumbering off to the elephant's graveyard.

  3. We did the tea bag thing to the big four. It would have been much better if they would have had a wider application page as there are a number of people inCongress that I would like to send one to,but no, too robust I presume.

Right after you send the tea bag comes a request for contributions so the RNC can fund all these fiscally conservative types. Lucky for them there was no reply function for that request, good thinking on their part.

  4. Whoever is assigned to the White House for the Tea Party protests today was just on air calling them morons.

OTOH, the Fox people are giving sound bites to the protesters and those I've seen have all said they're fed up with the spending.

In case any of you haven't already heard about it Bret Baier does an online half hour with the panel on Wednesday nights starting just after Special Report ends at 7 pm EDT. I've followed it the last few weeks and recommend it, especially tonight since they plan to talk about the protests. In addition to streaming video there is a real time comment facility to which Bret and the panel respond. Foxnews.com/sronline, should get you there.

  8. Yojimbo, I think you're right. For a day CNBC kept re-running Rick Santelli's rant and talking about it endlessly, then they clamed up. Today they mentioned the tea parties a couple of times as though they were surprised about them. They seemed to have muzzled Larry Kudlow, too.
