There's No Such Thing as a Bad Boy...
John in Carolina parses some of the comments made by Secretary of Defense Robert Gates on the subject of poor teenage mariners.
Somalis have always been a warlike society. They were greatly feared throughout subSaharan Africa as warriors, as notorious for clan warfare as for warring against outsiders. Nothing has changed in this century except the technology. Trying to effect empathy for these poor Somali "teenagers" shows how little Western politicians understand the Third World.

That should be Duke Lacrosse so-called "rape" case.
