You Can Fool All of the People Some of the Time...
One aspect of the judge's statement not commented on is that 'wise latina justice' will not sound at all desireable to an African American. No way Pres Obama can agree with such a statement without alienating his black support base.
Related: can you imagine Obama persuading Black America to support gay marriage? Possible I suppose, but even with his skills I doubt it.
I'm with a black West Indian group here in Sydney who do an annual Carnival. They wanted to have it in the street, in my innocent liberal days (10 yrs ago) I suggested they combine it with the local Gay Mardi Gras - oops! My mistake.
