Like Son, Like Father?

Senator Harry Reid's son, Rory (Rory?), is running for governor of Nevada, and is 21 points behind in the polls - in the Democratic Party primary.

Let's hope the people of Nevada decide that they have had enough of both Reids.

    Well, Nevadans did reject The Son Of Jimmy Carter for US Senator in 2006. Maybe they don't want any more idiots in office.

    Rabbis used to have to support themselves at other jobs while tending to their congregations at the same time. That's why Jesus was a rabbi and a carpenter. Wouldn't it be nice if our politicians had to do the same? Maybe then they'd be a little more in touch with what the people actually need and want.

    Leaving aside the obvious and revolting example of the Kennedy clan, another democrat dynasty appears to be the Fords in some obscure southern state. Harold Ford I think it was became briefly famous here in Australia when he added us to a list of various whacko regimes who were apparently pursuing atomic weapons as part of demonstrating his foreign policy credentials to get into the Senate. He lost the election I gather and have no idea what's happened to him since (ie can't be bothered googling him).
