Paco Enterprises Announces Rare Product Recall

Looks like the Perdurable A-1 Cell-phone Optimizer still needs a little work.

  1. "Electromagnetic interference" is one way of describing it. But I think it's more accurate to describe it as "radio frequency interference", as a cell phone is just a very fancy radio.

My HF radio turns on the capacitance lamp (the sort that turns on/off by touching it) in my bedroom on certain frequencies. So the problem isn't new.

But the cell phone/oven scenario is new, and more than a little bizarre. Looks like the design engineers of various appliances have a new test to add to their quality control plans.

  2. Jeff - One sign that you're getting old: you're standing outside watching a pretty girl jog by and your pace-maker makes the garage door open.

  3. That could be a feature, rather than a bug, Paco. Certainly it could be a great opening line.....

  4. But if it stays open more than four hours, call a doctor?

    Cheers

  6. I once forgot that I was drying hot peppers in the oven, and turned on the broiler to cook dinner. The house filled with smoke and we couldn't figure out why our eyes were burning.

I've never stored anything in the oven again.
