That young whippersnapper, G. Warming, has turned tail and run, with Old Man Winter in the offing. Temperatures were unseasonably cold last week (although they've been fairly nice the last couple of days). The neighborhood is ablaze with fall foliage, as I discovered while walking around the block this morning with Mrs. Paco and Mabel, the official dog of Paco Enterprises.

Lovely!
ReplyDelete"Lovely" Oh sure, you can say that because you have that stuff where you live.
ReplyDelete"But Yojimbo, don't you have any of that in your beloved southern Arizona DESERT?"
Does the term "incoming!" have any meaning?
My favorite time of the year. Oh, those middle two pictures are juuuust great. *sigh*
Not a lot of that in NEFL, either. Maine and Maryland were big surprises to this prairie cat when I moved this side of the Mississippi. But Jax gets fall colour in December and January, and most of it is brown and yellow, not red and orange!
ReplyDeleteActually, Yojimbo, I'm in NW Wyoming right now, and I could use some more nice autumn weather.
ReplyDeleteAutum came around last week, you see, and now it's gone.
Hey KC:The Hannity "Freedom Concerts" will be making a stop in Jax next year. Thought you might like to know.
ReplyDeleteEr, that would be pictures 3 and four of five. Middle two, in a series of five, only makes sense to those who think that a public option will reduce costs.
TRJ: NW Wyoming! Been there, done that, got the tee shirt. I know what you mean. I remember fishing in Yellowstone when it was twelve degrees in early September. I remember going to the Buffalo Bill Museum many times with my father, very good memories. I hope you are not going to winter there, that place gets SERIOUSLY cold.
ReplyDeleteAn absolute cavalcade of colour.
ReplyDeleteWe are treated to a multitude of colours on our Eucalyptus trees, as long as it's a greeny blue. Makes judging the change of seasons by colour change a little challenging.
Nice country you have there, I want some of it!
ReplyDeleteTimT: I'll be glad to send you a chunk. I mean, we could definitely lose Massachusetts.
