Because he was a communications major in Cornell’s agriculture school.

See? There are distinct advantages to being a graduate of an ivy kudzu league school.

  1. Nothing wrong with an agricultural school; the point should be that he couldn't qualify for a proper agricultural program, and thus studied for a communications diploma.
