Mr. Bingley has documented the wonderful level of care that I am providing for Mrs. Paco.

I knew it Paco. Bingley is on to you. You're a one-man death panel! :-)

But seriously. Give my best to the missus. I hope she gets better soon.

No, no, Yojimbo, I know better than that.

Thanks, Mikael. By the way, one of your compatriots is working on some kind of exchange program with the government agency where I work. She is a very bright person with a delightful personality. Are all of you Danes that way?

Mikael: I hasten to add, not that I'm at all surprised. It's just that you and she are the only Danes I know, and you both seem to be very kind-hearted folks. If it's a national trait, I salute you.

Actually, Paco has some hospital issues...

Thank you Paco. Of course I can't speak for every Dane, but as general rule we tend to be pretty down to earth and like to give strangers the benefit of the doubt. We do tend to use a large amount of (self)irony in our sense of humor - more British than American to compare - which can sometimes lead to misunderstandings among people not use to it. So if she one day says something that you might find odd or perhaps even rude, don't jump to conclusions. She may just be telling a joke.

Anyway, please give her my best and wish her a merry Christmas when you see her again. You know, from one compatriot to another. Thanks again for your kind words.
