Looks like facts trump "first class temperament"

I didn't have time to watch or listen to the health care debate, between the president and his Democratic mamluks on one side, and their Republican opponents on the other, but, according to this piece at Powerline, the GOP's team came out on top. It seems that Obama came across as arrogant and testy (and, occasionally, ridiculous, by trying to dismiss inconvenient facts as irrelevant details). Also, how stupid is this presidential comment: “I don’t think Tom we’re going to have another one of these because people don’t have 7-8 hours a day to work some of these things through." You don't have to understand it, you bastards, just pass it!

Update: Nice analogy from Smitty at The Other McCain.

Update II: Polite, but relentless and merciless criticism of Obama Care from today's summit by Wisconsin's Paul Ryan.

Like, I didn't have the time to watch or listen.

But Darleen Click at protein wisdom kinda live blogged this august event. That plus other summaries say the same thing.

But this:

The Democrats had to let Reid and Pelosi [UPDATE: and Joe Biden) speak, and neither is fresh, attractive, or especially bright.

is golden. Particularly the "[not] especially bright". Heh!

Barack Obama is the biggest crybaby I've ever seen, and he's supposed to be the President of the United States. He's also got a mean streak a mile wide. I can't wait to get rid of this bozo, because he demeans the office.

31 million uninsured... what ever happened to compassion?

Doncha mean 47 million uninsured, Daniel? It's a much more dramatic number, even though equally untrue.

The government doesn't need to change the whole health care system to help those who are uncovered by insurance. And in fact, nobody's totally without access to health care in the U.S.

I liked the part where he called the legislative bills of his own party "props". There should be a different category for statements like that. There must be a Hall of Fame somewhere for things like that.

The "illustrious" Senator Chris Dodd advised the GOP prior to this dog and pony show that they should 'be with us or get out of the way'. Was that a German accent Senator Dodd?
