The Neighbor from Hell

Amy Bishop - the woman who went on a shooting rampage at the University of Alabama - was, not surprisingly, an awful neighbor (H/T: Gabriel Malor at Ace of Spades)

  1. Somone on that thread jokingly said that she was their better... I had the thought that I was surprised that some fool hadn't come out and said that she wouldn't have done it if she hadn't bee ostracised by her neighbours.

    Gold Plated Nutter.

I'm relieved my horrible neighbours moved out just after he scored himself a pistol. I didn't realise that ANYONE could get a pistol in Australia. He did.

  2. Almost the female equivalent of the Virginia Tech Monster, Seung-Hui Cho.

Not as many deaths thank God, but as NUTTY, for sure.

Whatever vetting UA-H did, was sure as hell not enough.

  3. There are a lot more characters like this out there than you should be comfortable with. I know, I'm related to one of them, and have run across far too many others to think this is rare. Most of them don't murder anybody, but they can make everyone around them miserable.

It's almost impossible to wall these sociopaths off from society, because people will persist in believing they're just "eccentric" or "different" or probably really good deep down, if you can just find it. It's enough to make you believe in Evil, and I don't mean just because of the sociopaths.

  4. Quite right, Rebecca. One encounters such folk from time to time, and they seem to revel in spreading misery. "Evil" is, indeed, the word.
