The Boxer Blimp

Carly Fiorina's "demon sheep" ad is widely considered to have backfired, but Bluegrass Pundit has a new video from the Fiorina camp attacking Barbara Boxer. It is wild, bizarre and over the top. And I love it!! Anybody recognize the narrator's voice? Sounds very familiar, but I can't place it.

I hasten to point out that this is not an endorsement of Carly Fiorina. I haven't been following the California race closely, though I believe she's considered to be a RINO. California voters (or anybody else who's following the race in the Republican primary), feel free to fill me in on who the best GOP candidate is, in your opinion.

Update: Smitty at The Other McCain has a theory about the inspiration for this ad.

Update II: I am told by a well-informed reader that the narrator is actor Robert Davi.

Viewed "The Boxer Blimp". Very slick it was. Funny as all get out.

Don't know a hell of a lot about, Fiorina, her stints with big business should be a qualifier for office.

I would think, that for Californian's, considering who is representing them now, (Feinstein being the more sane Senator) Fiorina would be considered an extreme Right Winger.

RINO or not...lol

I hope the California voters put a pin in that balloon quick smart.

The narrator sounds like a cross between William Conrad and Orson Welles, but since it can't be either one of those, I haven't a clue.

El: It sounds a little like Denzel Washington, to me (he is rumored to be either a Republican or a Republican sympathizer).

Sorry, I meant Morgan Freeman. I have no idea what his political affiliation is.

You didn't even mention my catching the real reference of the ad.
I'm, like, wounded, or something. :(

Smitty: Sorry, but I saw the ad at Blue Grass yesterday before you had put your post up.

That's blogging for you, boss. ;)

I LOVE Robert Davi. He almost always plays a bad guy, but that voice could read me the phone book and I'd be a contented woman.

Also, Paco, this is one of the few times I've actually looked at the linked video...damn, it's GOOD! Guess I should do it more often, but I just don't always have 5 uninterrupted minutes to watch.

WHO?...lol

Fiorina, isn't a Reagan, that's for sure, but for Cali and whom they are self-stuck with, she may seem a right-winger in comparison.

D.Washington as I recall made a sizable donation (a relative and friend housing complex while visiting) at Fort Sam Houston for those with loved ones in needed care.

El: That's right, he did.

Now that you've named Robert Davi, I recognize the voice. Hooray for him (I like him because he plays such evil villains), he's one of us!

I'm not so interested in the ads than her candidacy. She screwed up the HP/whatever company merger. But she did work in the real world and was successful to a point.

In California, a dog will win against Pelosi, if you can find enough republican dogs.

From the voice I would have had the actor placed as the same guy who did this ad.
