Too bad I have to work for living. I'd put on an suitable t-shirt, grab the hippy stick, jump into the old sedan bearing completely un-pc bumper stickers (American flag, Sarah Palin's smiling face, and several Support the Troops) and drive over for a little economics teach-in. But alas. Too many idiots, not enough time or money.
Missred, a few years ago Berkeley actually experienced a bit of real change when a Republican Club on campus took the People's Park. My memory is that there were a few congratulatory responses amidst the sea of disbelief and bewilderment. The hippies and their offspring had probably never seen a real representative of their hatred. The Conservative forces are still hard at work up in the Northern Left Coast.
