Roberta X draws our attention to a time when you could buy ammo in grocery stores.
I can't even find three-quarters of what I'm looking for in a gun store, these days.

ReplyDeleteWhy did you do that to wronwright?

Sheesh, that guy's such a whiner!
ReplyDeleteWell at least you have such Paco. The missus and I are heading off to send a few rounds down range shortly but here in the antipodes all you can get are guns secured with wire so they are limited in both vertical and lateral movement and even these are the subject of campaigns to get the ranges closed down. We can only envy the freedoms of more civilised realms.
ReplyDeletecac: I am astonished.
ReplyDeletePaco, there's always on-line sources. Ever try Cheaper Than Dirt? Although I must say, even they run out of stuff.
ReplyDeleteBut, yeah, I miss the days when you could buy just about anything, just about anywhere, even ammo. All that added bureaucracy is anything but value added.
Jeff: I've visited the site, but he last time they were out. Cabela generally has online stuff available.
ReplyDeleteCabela is good as well; I enjoy visiting their stores just to browse, if naught else.
ReplyDeleteAs for Cheaper Than Dirt......well, you gotta be persistent. I found two items I've been looking for this morning, but it took a while.
