"Most Trusted Man in America"

Isn't that what they used to call Walter Cronkite?

Well, guess again.
Legendary CBS News anchor Walter Cronkite allegedly collaborated with anti-Vietnam War activists in the 1960s, going so far as to offer advice on how to raise the public profile of protests and even pledging CBS News resources to help pull off events, according to FBI documents obtained by Yahoo! News.

Basically, there wasn't a single solitary thing in that decade we were told that wasn't a bare-faced lie, was there?

So my cousin was right when he said CBS stands for Communist Broadcasting Service?

Yes 'Communist Broadcasting' is looking more and more like an accurate descriptor of much of the 'news' back then.

Also, related I think, Gorbachev was actually a bloodthirsty totalitarian who gave support to communist massacres and even laughed at the downing of Korean Flight 007 in 1983.

" Lukyanov reports that the real number of casualties on Tiananmen Square was 3,000.

Gorbachev: We must be realists. They, like us, have to defend themselves. Three thousands . . . So what?"

Even Ronald Reagan, who I respect, did not comprehend the depth of the evil of these people.
