The Israeli Navy attempted to head off a pro-Hamas flotilla, and ten people died, as naval commandos found themselves attacked by peace-loving Hamas activists - armed with baseball bats, knives and guns.
Far be it from me to advise the Israeli Navy, but guys, you really ought to put away the paint-ball guns and opt for something like this.

Yeah, ain't it amazing just how peace loving all them Hamas supporting peaceniks are?
ReplyDeleteAnd I think that the AA-12 is a PERFECT solution to this particular problem.
I won't pay much attention to all the hand-wringing, bleeding-heart, self-righteously angry denunciations of Israel. First, it infuriates me. Second, everybody in the world, unless they've been living under a rock in Middle Antarctica, knows that the so-called "humanitarian" aid flotilla was a set-up to trap the Israelis into a PR disaster. And everybody knows the Israelis knew it too, but they had no choice. It was either that or let the flotilla through, thus negating their blockade. They offered a reasonable alternative... offload the aid at Ashdod and truck it into Gaza. Nope, the "humanitarians" weren't having it. And the Israelis knew that no matter what they did, they'd be vilified. They should've just sunk the damn ships, except now I find out, there was a baby aboard one of them.
ReplyDeleteThis was a deliberate act to inflame the rhetoric against Israel, in an effort to keep Israel holding off their attack on Iran, while it, and Syria, and their puppets Hezbollah and Hamas prepare to wipe Israel off the map.
And we can't even count on the Boy-In-Chief to take an interest.
Jeff: I was particularly impressed with that round called the "Frag 12", a kind of mini-grenade.

Very true. And the Hamas terrorists value life so cheaply that they're ready to sacrifice their own (and anybody else's) people to achieve their ends.
Spot on, Rebecca. Hamas and their useful idiots are looking for another Rachel Corrie. But I don't think it'll deter Israel, not when their survival is truly at stake.
ReplyDeletePaco, that Frag 12 is an AWESOME round. Not only is it effect, it converts any 12 gage shotgun into an inexpensive grenade launcher
Andrew Bolt has a good write-up on it, too.

Next time, they'll take my advise and just torpedo the bloody ships.
ReplyDeleteNational radio show host/film critic Michael Medved reported that the "peaceniks" used the rappeling ropes to tie the helicopter to the ship in an attempt to take it down. Very peaceful. Right. He pointed out that there is plenty of food in Gaza as approved truckloads come in every week. There is, also, a very expensive restaurant that is mainly frequented by the Hamas elite. Israel gave the floatilla several opportunities to turn back. Lucky for the so-called peace folks that I wasn't in charge or they and the ship would have been marine habitat.

Well said Rebecca, this was just an Islamist terror ambush, and some of the Western journalists should realise they are being "used" by hardliners to destroy Israel.
ReplyDeleteAs bing says, Andrew Bolt had a very good write up on it, but what was startling was the "pure hate" from some who posted on there, and that is a worry.
It is starting to look like an act of war by Turkey against Israel (with a bunch 'useful idiot' dupes aboard).
ReplyDeleteOne commenter at Hotair suggests torpedoing the ships from a submarine. The UN finds that harder to condemn. Deniability. Passive-aggressive 'who me?' back at you, Hamas and Turkey.
Not sure if bing and I were talking about the same Andrew Bolt story as I see he has a new article out today "Boatloads of bloody-minded pacifists".
ReplyDeleteThe one I was refering to was "Israel will pay for Hamas Provocation" on which there were 933 comments.
