What, another czar?

Ed Morrissey reports that Obama is preparing to name an oil recovery czar. As Ed says, "the appointment of a 'czar' is another way to outsource leadership."

Exactly so. Obama seems to think that a president should be able to delegate everything to underlings - everything except for the pomp and the prestige of the office, that is. As it turns out, though, he's rapidly becoming little more than the putz-in-chief.

Thankee, Bob! Always glad to contribute to the public discourse (and I didn't even have to grab a student reporter by the neck!)

Fixed that for ya, Paco - it wasn't as truthful as you usually are.

a plan going forward, to restore the Gulf–not to where it was the day this accident happened, but to restore this Gulf to where it was years ago.”

I'd like to see the presidency and congress restored to where they were years ago. But to translate Gibbspeak: this is just Obama, creating yet another level of expensive bureaucracy accountable to no one but the party. I'm beginning to think of the National Mall as our version of the Kremlin.

Oh yeah, that bit about restoring the Gulf to where it was years ago? He means the quaint, but dirt-poor region of the country without industry and without hope, but absolutely with pretty marshes and beaches, that it used to be.
