Farrakhan sends ransom note to Jews

Louis Farrakhan (f/k/a Louis Eugene Walcott) has sent a letter to numerous Jewish organizations in an attempt to shake them down for "reparations". This bizarre epistle is expressed in the form of a request, but there's an "or else" quality to the conclusion:
should you choose to make our struggle to our people more difficult, then I respectfully warn you . . . that the more you fight and oppose me rather than help me to lift my people from their degraded state, Allah (God) and His Messiah will bring you and your people to disgrace and ruin and destroy your power and influence here and throughout the world.
I trust that Jews everywhere will respond with a horselaugh to the braying of this jackass.

  1. Louis was an outspoken person while I was in Chicago, which is very telling. I recall reading one of his pamphlets, which advocated splitting up the United States along the Missisippi, the eastern half going to he and his brothers, and the western half set aside for us crackets.

The not-so-subtle touch was designating New York City as a single ghetto for Jews.

I promptly threw the pamphlet away, and have held this man in utter contempt ever since.

  2. Farrakhan should brush up on Jewish history. Oppressors of the Jews, generally, don't end well, as in the case of the Pharaoh. He should also, look up the real meaning of blasphemy...carrying the name of the Lord in a fraudulent manner.

Bizarre is Louis' nature. But then, that's the nature of all megalomaniacs.

The person opening the mail probably waved the latest missive while laughing, "Hey everybody! We've got another one from Looney Louie!"

  4. Sephardic Jews predominated among the admittedly small Jewish population of the Old South, and some of them were slave owners (although they were not among the plantation masters of the Old South Mythic Tradition). Farrakhan's canard is just that. And if anything, I believe the traditional Jewish attitude of mercy would have prevailed regarding black slaves (I don't know their role in the southern abolitionist movement, but it was probably substantial, in accordance with Jewish beliefs).

In any case, I don't think Farrakhan's latest con game has anything to do with justice for African-Americans. He has, no doubt, noted all the recent editorials on Jewish stubborn leftism and support for Obama, and concluded that since reparations hasn't worked in the larger population, why not target people who wallow in guilt even more than Catholic schoolgirls and Ivy League elitists? Hey, it's worth a shot.

  6. It's kind of hard to imaging the "Prophet" Elijah Muhammad saying "cowboy the motherf***er" to the NOI hard boys...

    Louie Farrakhan, not so much.
