A harrowing escape, a tragic love story
A Catholic prisoner and his Jewish girlfriend escape from Auschwitz, are accidentally separated, and briefly reunited decades later.
Incredibly tragic. It's incomprehensible that she would ask him to leave his wife and family after she had lost hers. The emotions he must have felt at losing her and then being reunited are equally incomprehensible. God rest both of them.
