Time for Teresa Heinz Kerry to whip out her checkbook (again)

John Kerry has, er, "voluntarily" agreed to pay some $500,000 in taxes to Massachusetts in connection with that yacht he's been docking over in Rhode Island.

Being married to a rich woman means never having to say "my bad!"

  1. In all fairness, who wants to give money to Massachuwhatever?

  2. Did you see the headline for this story over at JWF? Kerry's Second Wife's First Husband's Trust Fund To Pay Taxes On Luxury Yacht.

TW: founagro: foundaground? Where Kerry's body will be when the second wife balances her checkbook at the end of the month.

  3. First, let me say that I can't believe I'm about to do this...defend Kerry. Actually, defend property rights. It should be the right of every American (even Progressives) to park their boat anywhere they want. He doesn't owe them anything. Kerry shouldn't have caved, but then what do you expect from a waffler.

  4. I agree, Deborah. But it's still tasty red meat to watch Lurch capitulate so quickly, especially when he doesn't have to pay the bill out of his own pockets.

  5. Deborah, Kerry might have the right to dodge a tax his party has imposed on the the working stiffs who've scrimped to afford the 20-foot outboards and sailboats they take their kids out on, because he can... but that still makes him a hypocritical creep...
