So, what’s the President really like?

The richest, reddest meat you will taste today (H/T: Moonbattery).

Update: Jeff S. just notified me that there's a Part II.

I read that, and was utterly astounded.

(Didja know that there's a Part II?)

Not at the fact that a self-described liberal democrat is cheesing on the Preshizzle. Those cretins would serve their own children for dinner if they thought it helped The Cause™.

No, it was the total cognitive dissonance -- or complete disregard -- for the difference between Obama The Candidate and Obama The President. To this "insider", they were disconnected, even though they describe the same man.

Clearly, the Demonrats goal was to elect Obama, and then worry about governing. And that's pretty much been their model for everything else. Look at ObamaCare.

Not to mention, this insider confirms virtually every single conclusion that I've read about Obama from the right side of the blogosphere: narcissism, thin skinned, immature, dismal intellect, you name it.

Red meat? Oh, yeah! But it needs to last us until 2012. Unless The Won™ decides to resign out of boredom.

JeffS, not only that, but he confirms what we were all saying (all we right-wing, Neocon conspirators) in 2008, that Obama isn't up to the job of President of the USA. We told you so you effing fools.

He also mentions something I concluded some time ago, that Obama is intellectually incurious. He doesn't want to find out new information, and he is nowhere near the reader of serious books that Dubya was. By his own admission he could not even find time, for months, to crack a fashionable novel.

I thought his comments about 2012 are interesting. They seemed to hint at a cabal of Dems preparing to challenge The Big O for the nomination then, like Gene McCarthy in 1968.

That said, I am suspicious of who this "insider" is and how much real insider information he has. His motivations are obscure and are almost certainly self-serving. This may be the first sign of kiss-and-tell "revelations" by guys who were really low level but are puffing themselves up to impress. Better book sales that way dontcherknow. Or it could be somebody testing the waters for a 2012 insurgency. Or this chap Anon may be all wet.

As a general rule I have no use for "former staffers" who turn on their erstwhile bosses, of whatever political stripe. I think George Stephanopolous is a punk, however much he anguishes about selling his soul to the Clinton machine. I loathe and despise David Stockman.

The time to do the tell all, inside scoop is after the event. If you go public while the process is still ongoing you looks like a fink and your motive, and veracity are suspect.

On the other hand, this dovetails precisely with my own observations and conclusions of Obama. Not only that, but it coincided nearly exactly with my own prejudices, which means I really want this to be accurate. And that reinforces my dubious sense.

We won't know the real story from inside the Obama White House for years, when more former insiders go public. I strongly suspect that this story will be vindicated, but at this point in this Presidency I can't allow myself to take it on face value.

There's still two tough fights ahead, this November and in 2012.

Make that many tough fights ahead, Steve. We aren't going to fix in two years what it took forty to screw up.
