Happy Feet Friday

The jam session from the movie DOA. And no, that's not Illinois Jacquet on saxophone, as the video title mistakenly says; according to a commenter over at YouTube, the personnel are as follows:

Personnel on camera:

Teddy Buckner (tp), Von Streeter (ts), Ray LaRue (p), Shifty Henry (b), Cake Witchard (dr)

Soundtrack personnel:

Ernie Royal (tp), Maxwell Davis (ts), Ray Turner (p), George Boujie (b), Lee Young (dr)

Special Christmas bonus! You may or may not believe in Santa Claus, but you'd have to be a real Scrooge not to believe in the Santa Claus Boogie. Merry Christmas from the Tractors! (There's an advertisement up front, but it ain't too long).

  1. Thank you and a very happy Christmas to you Frere Paco and the Pacoistas.

It's the night before Christmas here on the outskirts of Sydney, and I just took a long walk through the bush to make room for some overeating. Few creatures were stirring, except a small brown snake and a few rosellas. And the town dirtbiker on a mad sunset run up the trail. Glad the snake stirred else I might have trod on it.

  3. Merry Christmas Paco!

I've been streaming that Santa Claus Boogie to the TV near the Xmas tree - its a hit!

I've been given some single malt scotch brought back from Scotland by my son's piano teacher. And it still has some residual British frost on it!

Hope it doesn't get too chilly there in occupied North Virginia (its cold enough down here).

Anyway, once you've finished having a Merry Christmas, you should go on to have a thoroughly happy New Year!

  4. Robert: Unfortunately, it is very chilly here in ONV. We already have some snow on the ground (only a few inches fell early in the week, but it's so cold, it isn't melting). Nonetheless, we will soldier on.

    Best to you and yours!

  5. Merry Christmas to all Pacoistas!

I'm not done with prep (our family get together is Sunday so the kids can spend tomorrow with the other grandparents), but it's a little more organized chaos. My cold is worse, and I'm going to bed.

And to all, a good night!
