Haw and Double Haw!

I’m late to this item, but Sarah Palin got off a first-rate zinger at Obama’s expense after the SOTU speech:
“Well, speaking of last night, that was a tough speech to sit through and try to stomach because the president is so off base in his ideas in how it is he believes government is going to create jobs. Obviously, government growth won’t create any jobs. It’s the private sector that can create the jobs. His theme last night in the State of the Union was the WTF, you know, “Winning the Future,” and I thought OK, that acronym, spot on. There were a lot of WTF moments throughout that speech.”
M’yes…All you politicians and pundits out there just keep on underestimating this woman’s intelligence and drive and courage.

Someone once referred to Margaret Thatcher as the only man in her cabinet. I get the same vibes with Palin. It’s going to take a whole lot more than the usual beltway vermin infestation to spook this woman.

Update: Stacy McCain catalogs some of the particularly vile abuse that has been hurled at Palin (with, from I can tell, no effect on the target at all).

I got a shirt at the Orange Park Fall Festival that says W.T.F - stands for We The Future, and it advertises the First Coast Tea Party.

WTF...over.

Sarah is a smart lady with lots of class. How else could she deal with all those leftie loons smearing, insulting, and denigrating her and her family?

Me, I'd be punching someone in the nose. Daily.

i agree with you, jeffs, she is one smart spunky lady. she continues where many others would end up in tears. whether or not she should be president is another matter. she keeps evolving and becomes stronger as those who hate her become more ridiculous. she first came to my attention in this newsweek article.

WTF - superb.

Maggie took her cabinet to dinner at a restaurant. The waiter sidles up.

"Prime Minister, what would you like to eat?"

"I'll have a steak - rare".

"And what about the vegetables, Madam?"

Pointing to the cabinet, "They'll have the same".

Paco wonder how long it will take the Sarah Palin detractors to leap on Obama for this error.

Hey BOAB, did your Dad ever meet the Baroness?

Surely. If not, would have if their careers were a bit closer in time I bet. (I think I've guessed who BOAB's Dad was, but don't worry my lips are sealed.)

bruce said...

Oh and sorry it took me so long BOAB, he was a major figure in his time, but later events - Fraser, Hawke, Peacock, Howard - pushed those days back in our memories.

An update Paco on the Sarah Palin, episode by the so called comedian Tracy Morgan.......the bit I find hard to swallow is that they were "forced" to apologise.

Would have thought common decency would have told them that this was a disgusting thing to say about anyone.
