Virginia Commonwealth University is having quite a good run, having beaten Kansas today 71-61, and moving into the final four.
In keeping with what I take to be blog tradition, I suppose I should celebrate with a photo of sweater puppies. Ok, here ya go.

Awww.
ReplyDelete(Mrs. Paco was looking over your shoulder, wasn't she?)
Erm, pretty much.
ReplyDeleteHaving ruined the President's brackets VCU was notified today that its certification was under review as SEIU members picketed its gates...
ReplyDeleteHeh! Sweater puppies are sweater puppies, no matter how you look at 'em!
ReplyDeleteVCU is playing mighty tough. (Says Wisconsin Badger with a great deal of envy.)
ReplyDeleteI clicked on the article (largely I admit in the hope of seeing sweater puppies in a more, ahem, conventional sense) and didn't understand a word of it. Not even sure what sport was being played. Still I suppose I can get some sense of the utter lack of comprehension our seppo mates feel when they read one of Mr Blair's cricket posts.
ReplyDeleteAll the Sports Hairdo's seemed to spend a lot of time whining about VCU not 'deserving' to play this tourney with the BIG Boys. So I IMMEDIATELY made them my fave to win. I nearly always cheer for the underdog and this one is a FINE win for me!
ReplyDeleteAnd of course, I knew they were from your neck of the woods, Paco.
Go RAMS!
You're right, PC; those are my Richmond boys, so I'm pullin' for 'em.
ReplyDeletecac: There is much justice in what you say.
I may award First Prize to you for originality.
ReplyDeleteAt ease...

ReplyDeleteCheers
That was a great game.
ReplyDeleteAnd nice puppies!
Bob: No, no, an honorable mention will be fine!
ReplyDeleteWho doesn't like sweater puppies?
ReplyDeleteminicapt,
While at first I thought it would theoretically be awesome, after watching the video I now realize that would be a horrible way to die.
What does a respectable lady like Mrs. Paco know from the phrase 'sweater puppies'?
ReplyDeleteHi Paco,
ReplyDeleteI’ve noticed that some people are easily swayed by the “clenched fist salute” and other slogans and accoutrements of rebellion. I’ve also noticed that they don’t tend to be detail oriented people. The only question for the Paco Campaign is if they want to be associated with that type.
If you can tolerate them…
