Priceless line in the article:
"We all just feel for him, no matter what he's done," Bill Smith, a chef at Crook's Corner, a frequent Edwards haunt, told the Times.
"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh

ReplyDeleteUmmm? Silky Pony is a narcissistic ambulance chasing shyster who banged his mistress AND fathered a child, while his wife went through chemotherapy, and in the midst of his Presidential campaign. Which took a major psyops campaign by the freakin' National Enquirer to get the Lame Stream Media to admit this scumbag had problems, even while the creep was being considered for a major post in the Obama Administration. With said wife cutting him COMPLETELY out of her will.
And these people "feel for him"? Maybe Silky Pony is a great tipper (at least not on his dime), but he's a crappy human being.
So, "Crook's Corner" is certainly off my list of must-see places. At the very least.
And those were his good points.
ReplyDeleteSounds vaguely like Mr. newt who will be announcing his candidacy or something this week.
YoJ: Newt is an articulate politician who has a comprehensive understanding of the founding ideals of this country. He is also a cad, which puts him completely beyond the pale, as far as I am concerned.
ReplyDeleteHe also has a profound problem with product identification at times,
