"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
Let's see...South California would control the water supply to Los Angeles. The San Joaquin Valley, home of most of California's agriculture, would be a part of South California (I'll bet that would make Victor Davis Hansen happy). The tree-huggers in northern California, the hippy-dippies in San Fran and the Hollywood glitterati would all remain in Old California. Two conservative senators would be added to congress.
ReplyDeleteI'm not seeing any downside to this......
And while we're at it:
ReplyDeleteSouthern Illinois (minus Chicago) to become the 52nd state?

Hail, hail, Freedonia!...
ReplyDeleteI don't see a downside to this. Not at all.

ReplyDeleteI have a couple of cousins in California that are probably cheering for this idea.
ReplyDeleteWe're well on our way to Obama's 57 states, yes?
Zardoz, the rumor of water in the central valley is just that...rumor. The Democrats cut the water for the sake of a foreigner...the Delta Smelt. Remember, it's all about saving the environment. Save the fish, screw the farmers.
ReplyDeleteThis is another wasted attempt. It'll never happen.
