Thirty-one of America's finest, and seven brave Afghan commandos, perished in Afghanistan when their helicopter was shot down by the Taliban.
God bless their souls, and comfort their comrades, families and friends. And may He guide us to ultimate victory against the evil of militant Islam.

May they Rest in Peace.
ReplyDeleteVery sad news.
Awful, awful news.
ReplyDeleteGod rest their souls, and give comfort to their families.
Vale, warriors. May your families be comforted in this time of need and sorrow.
ReplyDeleteGod bless each and every one of them and comfort their families.
ReplyDeleteI wonder who sold them out.
ReplyDeleteSwampie: It would alarm, but not surprise me, if Pakistan was indirectly involved. I sincerely hope not, but the discovery and killing of Bin Laden in Pakistan had to have been something of an embarrassment to our "ally" in the War on Terrorism.
ReplyDeleteWhich actually makes me tend to think that Pakistan wasn't involved. It would be madness to provoke the wrath of the U.S. in this way.
Oh, wait. Obama's the president. His wrath is currently reserved almost exclusively for Republicans. Hmm. Maybe this bears looking into.
Who's afraid of Big Bad Obama?
ReplyDeleteNobody!
Had been wondering, but finally heard that none of the seals killed had been in the OBL raid.
ReplyDeleteConspiracy? Possibly, but I'm thinking probably just a lucky shot. Like Paco said, the last people they'd want to piss off is the Navy Seals!
Swampie, they weren't sold out. The helicopter was hit with a rocket. The Taliban got lucky. The unusual part was that there were so many onboard, but then these were reinforcements bring brought into a fierce fight.
ReplyDeleteMay they be forever honored here and in Heaven. May their families and friends gain peace and comfort. God bless them all.

Heartbreaking. Prayers for comfort to the Families, Friends, and Brothers-In-Arms.
ReplyDeleteJust tell the Current Occupant and his buds to shut their pie-holes, I'm not sure I can listen to their blather without puking.
We were blessed by God to have these brave Men among us. Via con Dios, Warriors!
