Timing

Seriously? I like Chris Christie - as governor of New Jersey. He tackled the public unions and made some serious attempts to address state budget issues. He would not have been my preferred Republican presidential candidate. But would I have supported him over Obama? In a skinny minute!

"Girthers" are going to be might disappointed about this latest turn of events. I'm sure they will continue to roll them out in New Jersey.

William Howard Taft, rest easy.

It's sad that his weight is the issue rather than his stance on issues. It's annoying that they even bring it up. Attack issues, not weight. Funny, how Maria Shriver's or any of the Kennedy womens' concentration camp figures never receive mention. This thin-crazed society makes it difficult for those that don't fit the mold. And now, there is talk of a fat tax like Belgium just passed.

Christie was enticing in the early days, but as you find out more about his views, the fascade falls away. The old adage that, "everything is not what it seems", is so appropriate. This is not to say he hasn't done good, however, there are alot more that isn't so good.

There's a lot less to him than meets the eye - so to speak.
