I thought he died decades ago

Cheetah, Tarzan's chimpanzee, has just died at age 80 (H/T: Hot Air).

Here's a short clip of Cheetah contributing to the war effort.

Update: Story possibly fraudulent.

An 80 yer old chimp?

That's probably a record, I'm thinking...

How much is that in Pelosi years?

Cheetah did more for America in 59 seconds than Obama has done since his mother birthed him.

Imagine the poop he would have flung if Obama, Pelosi, or any of the other nasties had come near. See the Godwin rule is still intact, although it was hard.

May he rest in peace. He brought alot of fun hours to generations.

80 years for a chimpanzee is a bit of a stretch... BUT on the other hand, my aunt owned a small terrier, probably a mutt but looking like a Jack Russell, who lived 24 years. I know, because she was born the year I was, and died when I was 24 years old.

Chimps (and other animals) are long-lived when they are loved and nurtured in a protected, human environment. Not saying it was the real Cheetah (although it would be cool if it were), it may be improbable, but probably is possible.

Steyn (filling in for Limbaugh yesterday) related a story told by one of Johnny Weismuller's co-stars who told of Cheetah always needing a chain on his leg or else he'd go after Weismuller, tearing off his loincloth and reaching for his goods.
