The Supreme Court finally compelled the city government to allow locals to own handguns, but there's a mountain of red tape you have to cut through to buy one (and even if you buy a gun, you just might wind up not getting to keep it).

Why would a sane person want to live there?
We spent a decade there in 1970. Well, actually, in Alexandria, five minutes from the Pentagon, before moving on to Georgia in 1971. Sometimes I think I'd like to go back and see if the slum we lived in has improved. Sometimes I just think, Thank God, we never have to see that place again.
ReplyDeleteGive DC back to Maryland, and get rid of the DC government. If naught else, the DC residents won't be able to whine about not having representation in Congress.
