The up and comers
Jay Nordlinger at National Review provides a very useful introduction to New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez, an unabashed conservative and possible future star of the Republican Party. It is people like Martinez, Marco Rubio, Allen West, and Paul Ryan who just about convince me that all is not yet lost

The problem is, when these bright young stars get to Washington,DC, the black holes of the Republican establishment start to absorb their bright light, leaving them nothing but elephantine zombies.
ReplyDeleteWell, that has to change. We have to elect more of them so they don't feel so isolated. That's one of the big problems now along with the fact that they have very little impact because we don't have the Senate.
ReplyDeleteMy major worry is that we won't get to 2016 as a truly free republic. With the upcoming voter fraud people may lose their faith in the voting process. Couple this with a Fiat Presidency where he rules by Executive Orders and Signing Statements and we could be in real trouble. If we take the Senate, one of his first acts will probably be an Executive Order on immigration, and maybe "assault weapons". And if he gets re-elected he will flip the Court and you can say goodbye to things like Heller.
You can also add Walker of Wisconsin to that list on the front page.
ReplyDeleteWe need enough so that we can have a TP Speaker, not another Boner.
ReplyDeleter-man: Scientists at Paco Labs are working around the clock to develop a vaccine for that.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope they find it quick!
ReplyDeleteHow about a cure for liberal. Are they working on that?
Rinardman,
ReplyDeleteThat will come only after the cure for the commmon cold is found.
Add Bobby Jindal and Nikki Haley.
In 1992 I didn't much favor George "Read My Lips" Bush. My favorite candidate was a woman, but for some reason Margaret Thatcher's name wasn't on the ballot.
r-man: Now you're getting into the realm of miracles.
ReplyDeleteYes but was her family involved in the Mormon church when she was 8 years old?
ReplyDeleteVery important.
