College football prospect, Cassanova McKinzy, chose Auburn over Clemson because the former has a Chick-Fil-A on campus.
I fully appreciate Mr. McKinzy's criterion. Mrs. Paco and I went to a Chick-Fil-A on our first date back in 1976, and we both still love their sandwiches.

Deborah Leigh said... Darn it, Paco! We don't have any Chik-Fil-A nearby, and they certainly do have tasty sandwiches and shakes. That being said, I am astonished that you took the future Mrs. Paco to CFA on your first date. Nothing impresses a lady like fast food. Then again, she did tie the knot with you. So I guess McKinzy's choice isn't so strange. It's the power of the chikn.
ReplyDeleteWell, it was a blind date set up by some mutual friends and we all got together at the mall. A week or so later, I took her to a fancy French place and we had goose in champagne sauce. Tasted like rubber soaked in kerosene.
ReplyDeleteI ate at a Chik-Fil-A for the first time last fall, while visiting my brother in Raleigh.
ReplyDeleteQuite tasty, indeed. I noted the cleanliness and good service, and my sister in law told me the owner's were Christians, and they stressed the "little things" that matter to most people. Unfortunately, the closest C-F-A to me here is about 1 1/2 hours away.
R-Man: It's worth a ride, every now and then.
ReplyDeleteDevout Christians. Closed Sundays. Love that sandwich.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder, Paco - there's one about 3 miles from my house, I'm going there for lunch tomorrow!
Good for you, KC! Eat hearty and enjoy!
ReplyDeleteNever had a Chik-Fil-A sandwich, but I love their advertising. There's just something absurdly funny about Holstein cows urging people to "Eet mor chikn".
