Dennis no longer a menace

Democrat Rep. Dennis Kucinich has been beaten in Ohio by Marcy Kaptur, the longest-serving woman in the House of Representatives, in a primary battle arising from a 2010 redistricting.

I don't know if this makes much of a difference in the grand scheme of things; perhaps someone from Ohio (that's right, I'm looking at you, Rebecca), can fill us in on the relative awfulness of the two donks. In any event, Kucinich has been such a grandstanding, left-wing clown that it's good to see him go.

  1. I read that while Kucinich and Kaptur were long time allies in the House, it didn't take long for the race to get ugly.

There's nothing like watching the rats eat each other....

  2. That district is up north (Toledo and Cleveland), so I didn't have a dog in that fight. From what I understand, Kaptur is slightly less insane than Kookcinich (who has been a total embarrassment to Ohio for years), but she's still a Democrat, so draw your own conclusion.

  3. Deborah Leigh said...Never say never when it comes to Lefty Democrats. It means he has more time to peddle his kook-aid. Perhaps he will join with Ron Paul. Dennis may be gone, but he's not forgotten (don't I wish I could forget him). Plus, he lost to another Democrat, so it's only a different day.

  4. Apparently, Joe the Plumber is her Republican opponent.

    Cheers
